The problem is that general practitioners/Family doctors/pediatricians do prescribe meds for people that might or might not have an illness. Psychiatrists are just the modern day fortune teller. And they always have been. Look at Freud he was almost as much of a hack as Jeung. They simply tell you to do the right thing, think for yourself and ignore your guilt. I'll freely admit that some of us have mental illness. And that should be addressed in a group therapeutic safe environment. But small deviations from the norm aren't reason for medication. Extreme deviations are and always have been. In the US we used to have asylums and mental institutions. Unfortunately people with money found that these were a great place to send/hide siblings/wives and children.Today we call these rehab institutions. Most of the American rehabs are cash driven.They like you until the day the insurance runs out. Then they send you back. Sometimes to secondary rehab. Point is we don't know how the brain works
