Well, he does fairly deliberately word things to cause controversy. It is/was his bread and butter. He's basically a professional edgelord.

Remind people that some people pay *money* to hear what Milo has to say. That'll get the numbers up.

If you're not from a religion/denomination that believes in it, read over the doctrine of transubstantiation and spend a few hours trying to wrap your head around it.

Because for the majority of human history, women are the gender that has not been accorded equal rights.

Do we really see ourselves more beautiful? 12 comments

There was a study done at one point, and they compared people's own 1-10 ratings of themselves to other peoples 1-10 ratings of their pictures. No, you likely don't think you're "five times" as attractive as you are, but most people do, on average, think they're 1 or 1.5 points higher on the scale than they are. Bonus, though: if you suffer from chronic depression, you probably know *exactly* how attractive you are to other people, because the personal investment that makes people see themselves as more attractive is less likely to affect you.

What? I thought it sounded like a good idea! It's like a little German-street-fair-food pizza! Hmm. There should probably be pork roast bits and I actually think a little pineapple would contrast the sauerkraut? but I don't know if it would go with the garlic sauce so you might have to go back to tomato sauce for that.

OH my goth - can you imagine, though? A pizza with bratwurst and mushrooms and sauerkraut and that knoblauch-soese (garlic cream sauce) they always serve with fried mushrooms?

Well, yeah. People also freaked out because some random chicks decided to dye their armpit hair green and smear glitter in it. Don't mean you gotta give 'em attention.

Yeah, it's less about them masturbating to you and more about the fact that they *need you to know* they masturbate to you.

Oh, my, yes. Look up the history of Mr. Rogers, he's a-maz-ing. And if you grew up in the right era, in the US, you probably can hear the theme song in your head right now.

By portraying Hitler as an inhuman monster, we make it easier to convince ourselves that normal people can't do horrible things. This is not a correct conclusion.

You guys, normally I would be pissy? But Maj. Kusanagi's shell in the original story is explicitly stated to be a caucasian shell. She chose it so she'd fit in better in the white parts of Hong Kong.

Kuwabara is the sweetest, dumbest thing on earth and I'm pretty sure it's unethical but I still want him as a pet, though his lifespan is limited because sooner or later he'll say something dumb to Yukina and Hiei WILL murder him.

Pretty sure it does have meaning, most likely "For the glory of Allah." And, of course, the glory of the name of whoever commissioned it.

I vote we domesticate them and call them fish hounds. Then cold-weather-dwellers can get little pet seal puppies for their kids when they're eight.

The modern concept of art-as-examination was very useful for about fifty years, until we learned what it was supposed to teach us. The concepts of artisanship-as-art and art-as-social-function have always been here and do not need replacement, as evidenced by the current trends in design and the popularity of Apple products (whatever ELSE the latter one may say about our social values...)

Wait, so everyone else fantasy casts their own work, too? (Mine will never make it. Some of these premises make Sharknado look sane; I'm just incurably silly.)
