Found something.
Basically it said that Imaginary Friends can often be used to project internal problems onto. Which is true in this case. The two ""friends"" i have embody my Anxiety and Depressed feelings.

All good, tell me if you find something please

Well, I can surely say that I am emotionally intelligent. My EQ is pretty good. And if I would have one during childhood then my parents would have definitely known, because Apparently I was a really talkative and detail oriented guy, used to tell them everything.
I guess it might be the second one. I had a good amount of nice friends, my parents played along with me, had Cartoons and toys. So, maybe I didn't needed one.

I had friend that I’m pretty sure was real, but no one remembers him.

I had an imaginary friend for a few months (that I remember specifically, not sure If i'd had one before then). I stopped imagining it I guess when my dad first got drunk and really upset. Afterwards, I was scared, and told myself it was stupid to have an imaginary friend, that they couldn't do anything for you. Never had one again. Thing is though that I do have a high EQ?

The whole thing with EQ is just a theory remember, everything in psychology, especially developmental cognitive psychology, is just theories nothing can ever be proven fact (although much of it is treated as fact as we now have the technology to back up our claims). We don't know much about imaginary friends as it's all extremely subjective and could be situation based so don't feel like just because you didn't have an imaginary friend that your EQ is low and visa versa

True

But trends can definitely be seen. We may not know why but doing action X will result in consequence Y. The why is the theory, but the X and Y are facts.

It was also said that an imaginary friend isn't a sure sign of a high EQ. Just because you never had one, you may have had other outlets. So your EQ is fine.

I don't think I ever had imaginary friends. I was late in learning to speak and prefered to crawl over walking though.

we see how that turned out

The point I was trying to get across was don't let a theory knock your self-esteem down but yeah trends are seen. This isn't about all of that but @sir_spiderman, your point of X will result in consequence Y is correct to a point, in psychology though you have to be careful you're not just using the Correlation equals Causation as most of the time extraneous variables influencing the experiment can mess with the end results.
sir_spiderman · 6 years ago
You have to be careful of that in all areas of life @parisqueen, but in my example I was trying to be as basic as possible and adding correlation!=causation would shred the idea of being basic to dust.

Yeah that's fair
