The husband's name is Trevor. The fight started when she spent $10 on something that won't shut up when they already have 2 daughters.

I'd gladly take living today rather than in the 80s and 90s. You had to watch what was on. Now, everything is available. Want the classics? You can get it (and you don't need to stay up late to get it). Want more contemporary? That's available too. You can watch what you want, when you want. We're no longer tied to the schedule the networks dictate (unless it's for Game of Thrones, in which case we're all awake at 12 for those new episodes to hit).

I've never worked in fast food but I have worked retail before and let me just say that they're definitely underpaid considering the bullshit they have to deal with on a daily basis. If anything, I think working retail should be a requirement for everyone. Make it a class in high school. It certainly taught me to have greater respect for retail workers.

Yeah, this has never ever been the case before. The loud never got attention, ad-hominem attacks never went anywhere. Demonizing was always looked down upon, we always ignored the offended, and we certainly never made anyone famous for doing so. What kind of past does Hershey imagine us having?

That's...wow, I'm not sure if you're underpaid having a Masters in Engineering or if she's just the most popular stripper in Vegas.

That must be a pretty sparsely populated area where 2000 people gaining wealth would cause inflation so massive that it would render the money donated useless.

Speaking as someone who has waited until midnight for a game (It was Zelda: Skyward Sword), it's not so much that you HAVE to have it immediately. It's a social event. You get to spend time with random people who have the same passion as you. It's like an online message board, but in real life. It's actually a lot of fun.

Easy there, Alex Jones. It's a story, not a dick. Don't take it so hard.

Are you customer support? Or are you deflecting blame for your late buying onto the mother? Because while the former makes more sense but the latter is actual insanity wolf.

If getting told you're a little ugly is considered "Rekt" then we, as a society, have lowered our standards far too much.

Naive* And it hardly stops with Obama. One of the ways Bush managed to win re-election was that he had an incredibly sophisticated Get Out The Vote operations. They managed to work things down to a science, targeting people they believed to be either republican voters or those who could be and encourage them to vote. Even if it was a single house on a street, they'd visit just that one house. It was really interesting.

Even with products you do purchase, you'll get used like this. I get it, this stuff is scary because we're well into the dawn of Big Data. But to imagine that you can simply run away from it all is unrealistic. Short of a hermit life up in the mountains, disconnected from society, is really the only way to get away from this.
