According to some scientists, the earth can only be able to support about 3 billion people. We have over twice that. We either need to colonize Mars or something fast, or release a plague. (Last part is joke)
We've been trying that by educating women and giving birth control methods. Less developed countries are the ones in need of that. But if you really feel strongly about your opinion then work towards making it a reality. Think of what we could achieve if we all actually strived to make the world a better place :D unless you want to exterminate 4 billion people, which is not okay
Why is everyone talking about killing people? Apart from paychpaths and murderers, no one has to die. Population Control refers to something like limiting tge amount of children per household or something like that.
This is so true. There's sone good writing done on this, basically we need to have a maximum of two children per couple for the next 10 years and our population would fall at a controlled enough rate to fix the environment with out too much economical hardship.
It's because each couple has to have at least 3 children to raise the population, but with just two it will just lower it to exchange when the parents die.
And your sister should be fine as long as she can take care of all her children. It's not like she's just going to give her child up to foster care or orphanage.
She can take care of them she's a doctor. I'm baiting the other commenter into saying something stupid about supporting the forced pregnancy terminations performed in China. It sounds like of those idealistic UN supporting hippies that make me want to vomit.
Like, I'm all for helping the world. But forced killing people doesn't seem right. IMO what we should do is go along with the space stuff. Colonize other planets. As long as no aliens live there we should be fine.

At what point did I suggest killing or abandoning children? This isn't about control it's about giving our kids a future. At the rate our population is growing there won't be enough resources to survive. I'd rather have 2 kids that can actually live on this planet than keep breeding like rabbits and let my great grandkids starve.
