Diamonds are overrated. Even if I had the money I would still go for a more interesting mineral/gemstone. Sure they might be the hardest, but oh so so brittle.
Why buy diamonds, when you can buy an Xbox? Why put your money in gold, when you can buy a PlayStation? Why pay for necklaces and rings, when you can buy some time with a lady of the night?
Because the price of diamonds and gold will go up and you'll become a billionaire if you sell them some decades later. But of course you have to be a millionaire first to afford even buying them.
