Oh. That's so intense, though. Like they went as far as call the cops when the two gents hadn't even gone as far as pull out weapons or anything. They legitimately asked for cheese and all they had to do was point the men to some cheddar what the heck
That's always possible, but I don't think so. The police officer that came into the store didn't arrest them or anything like that. My guess is that the staff (I think it was just one or two people there) had some mental problem
So after seeing this post, I did some research. I don't think it was a race thing since both employees involved are also African-American. That opened more questions though.. Couldn't find anything online explaining what the misunderstanding was. As a retail manager I can't imagine any situation where I would abandon the sales floor especially if I thought there was a threat. If it was a real emergency the safety of the other customers in the store would be a major concern. I'm bewildered.
