I think they meant that whenever a fly is dying, they rub their feetsies together before they lay eggs to preserve their genes.

I'm sad because those aren't wasps. They're either some type of bee or yellowjackets. Unnecessary deaths

I've actually done this with just the wasp before. I was helping a friend fix his car and this fucker just would not stop pestering us so I trapped him with a plastic cup the moment the opportunity presented itself.... I was smoking a cig as it happened and decided to suffocate him... 0/10 wouldn't do again. I could see the fight leave him as he died and it made me feel horrible.
