I love how he built it in like 15 hrs, did some testing for a few more and then put it on a plane, even though they probably won't need it. He's right, even if they don't need it stuff like this is bound to happen in the future so... why the fuck not?

There is also the point that it undermines the entire point of math and science. Math and science aren't like english or eve P.E. (my basketball coach just gave everyone a 95 so long as they showed up, but obviously some players were better than others) there is no objectivity. Teaching semantics like horizontal or vertical subtraction/division is bullshit. If the method works without exception it is valid. Period. Just because the teacher is butthurt about how a problem is solved doesn't mean the answer is wrong. About the only real complaint is not showing your work, which this kid did. Fuck this "teacher".

So... the teacher WAS being 100% unfair. It's a loaded question.
It's also a fucking retarded concept to teach as well; still. It's like trying to justify teaching someone how to poop while doing a handstand... because they can. Like... what the fuck? Why?

Last time I was tested I had 20/10 vision. That was like 7 years ago though. I also sometimes wonder what "20/20" vision is like... especially when I'm trying to point something out (like a lizard in my backyard to my homie) and they are just like... "dah fuck you talking about?"
Color blindness is also fascinating to me... as well as the fact women can usually distinguish between nuances in color far easier than men.

It shouldn't be taught over precision when precision is possible. Precision > estimation every single time. What I find funny is I just said there are exceptions to every rule on another post. This is the exception to the rule that there are exceptions to every rule. Postception.
