NY instituted a coyote season a few years ago, and they outlawed boar (and all wild pig)hunting on us.

I read news reports all the time about hunting and trapping related stories and the slant is always against us. Im weary of it, and the post appeared to contain more of the same.

Trappers set traps. If there was a coyote or fox den there the trapper would set a trap there. If bait was permissible it would be food a coyote would eat. Stray dogs are likely to wander into a pack of coyotes territory and possibly be killed in a territorial dispute. This stray was instead trapped. I submit that the canine’s previous owner was the negligent one not the trapper.
