Yeah, but there were so many other ways to deal with the situation than shoot him. The majority of the time guns dont save lives

guns save lives --> wtf. How does anyone benefit from this situation. A SIXTEEN year old kid is dead and an ELEVEN year old boy has to live the rest of his life knowing he has killed someone. Guns really provide more hindrance than help.

Let just take a moment to recognise the irony - Australia was settled by criminals but now has lower crime rates than Britain :/
