Cats can't always land on their feet. It's been proven that they will most of the time, but they reach terminal velocity some where around 14 stories. At terminal velocity the cat will pass out and lands on the floor. Don't get sad because most live from this, once they have reach thier max speed and shut down thier muscles relax and help the cat land with little to no injury.
