This is just badly worded. The "Penny Challenge" is ADDING one penny a day for 365 days. Day one you put in one penny, day two you put in two, day three you put in three, up to day 365 when you're putting in 365 pennies. All of those pennies for that year add up to $667.95.

I'm pretty sure people who are up to 100+, 200+, and 300+ are just adding dollar bills plus change, not actual pennies.
