Yes, the way we raise them has a great impact on how they turn out to be but the animals have their own personalities
My cats all have different personalities.
Allen aka Bubba: is Mr Independent and he walks around like I don't need you but if I head towards the bathroom he is all meows and coos he wants to go in with me and he sits on the counter and begs for pets.

Marshmellow aka Marshie: is a large kitten he is the biggest cat yet is a baby lol he wants cuddles and gives love bites. He loves stuffed animals and toy balls with bells. He hates his feet and hips to be touched but love between his toes to be messaged. And he whines if he doesn't have food and water on stand by.

Coujo aka Coujie coo: is miss kissy priss. She wants her fur perfect and wants to give everyone kisses. She will grab your face and demand kisses lol. If you mess up her bed she will spend for ever straightening it up. O and she REFUSES to eat food that touched the floor.
Zipper aka Zippers aka Zippy aka Zippadeedooda aka Zipzap: she is the fun Aunt. She will play and run with them and when they are tired she pins them down and gives them a bath lol. She has a small nursing problem though lol any fuzzy item stuffed animal towel blanket what ever she will suckle like a baby. Lmao

Boogers aka Boogie: first off her name comes from when she was a kitten and had a bad eye infection that had to be cleaned and cared for 4 times a day. And well Boogers just stuck lmfao
Anyways she is the sweetest cat ever she LOVES hugs and pets and she actually cried tears if you say no to hugs. It breaks your heart lol. I think it is because of how much hands on care she had as a newborn kitten.

But yeah all different and not an one is an asshole well except when Allen uses me as ramp to get to the back of the couch.
Cats come off as dicks because they aren't pack animals, so they have no family-based instincts like dogs, so they seem really standoffish compared to dogs.
