This is horrible and it shouldn't happen at all, but I'd like to point out one thing. I love this kind of social experiments, but I sometimes doubt about their legitimacy. Why did they change places? Why didn't they shoot both scenarios with the same kind of people around. It's just hard for me to imagine all this people who stood up for the white kid wouldn't do the same for the black kid.
