I'm sorry but I'm calling bs on this one guys! This post is purposely inflammatory. Marie Curie won a NOBEL PRIZE, Caitylin won an award from a magazine... The problem here isn't that one woman is "inferior" (which Caitlyn isn't) to another but that the poster is comparing the significance of a MAGAZINE award (which is all a marketing tool) to the same standard as a NOBEL EFFING PRIZE. Marie Curie didn't when the "Nobel Woman Prize." She won a Nobel Prize because she's a fucking genius who happened to have a vagina.

He's a good dude but like he said it's easy to give when u have it to give. One of my favorite quotes is, "I gave you $10, he gave you $20. We tend to champion people who are rich and praise everything they say and do but ignore those who sacrifice everything they don't have for a stranger.

IT never ceases to amaze me how people can be sympathetic/have rational disagreements/somewhat concede to not using a gay slur or a slur to an underrepresented community. But talk about the N word and it just gets ugly.

As a black girl who grew up living in the 1% I totally know what it feels like to be told i "act" or "talk white" have been called an Oreo, have been told by other blacks people I can't relate to the "struggle" and have been pissed at my own for perpetuating stereotypes and "making us look bad" I completely agree that WE as black people should be called out for not supporting each other, and promoting stereotypes as opposed to celebrating those of us who are doing well beyond rapping and playing a sport. HOWEVER, this doesn't absolve racists Of heir ignorance nor does this justify certain systematic infrastructures that have been in place for decades to hold down all minorities and disenfranchised people. As black people we need to focus on fixing how we contribute to the problem JUST AS MUCH as we are focused on calling out racists and the government. And those people who are choosing to be willfully ignorant and public and private entities that are choosing to tear down or hold back

Not to be a jerk but.... despite what people think every burger thrown away and every extra nugget given out majorly effects food cost and food is the greatest expense of any restaurant especially fast food. When food costs are high and not managed properly please believe ur GM and owner will not be willingly paying their employees $15. Not because they don't to want to but because they can't afford it. It's easy to think all fast foods are owned by billion dollar companies but franchisees are just like any other small business owner who (shocking I know) doesn't take all the money from the dollar cheeseburgers in the register and bathe in them in a golden bathtub lol but does their best to maintain and reinvests in their business

Just to clear it up, slavery WAS one of the main reason the states wanted to secede. There was a "secession convention" where reasons to secede were discussed and one (noted of many) were non-slave holding states increased hostility towards the practice of slavery and the failure of non-slave holding states to follow constitutional laws such as returning runaway slaves etc. So, slavery wasn't necessarily the reason for the civil war, however, it was a strong reason why the south seceded and their secession was the main reason why a civil war came about.

I used to think people who said they had panic attacks were faking it/being dramatic for attention... Until I had one. The first thing I thought was fuck how do ppl live with these in a reoccurring basis? My heart breaks for those who suffer from them regularly. The shit is painful and overwhelming. Be grateful if you've never had one but respect those who have and that you can't relate.
