Last time I checked we still have NICS and if you conceal carry in most states you've had an FBI background check. Also just because you take away guns you're not stopping crimes and murders, you're just changing the means for someone who is commited to kill.

Completely agree on not handing them the card first. If things start going bad or they won't anser your questions then hand them the card. I don't have one of these cards but I would definitely asses the situation before whipping it out.

@tylerchu I lost faith in our local sheriffs dept in my area a few years ago. They've made it painfully obvious to our community that they're not willing to involve themselves in anything unless they can arrest someone. Saying that I still attempt to make every encounter with LEOs positive and even engage in conversations with them when there aren't any problems going on. Carrying that card would not mean you assume every LEO is bad but it could come in handy when dealing with an asshole on a power trip.

I love people who feel all cops only have good intentions. My last run in with a sheriff had me guilty until proven innocent even though I was completely cooperative. Should that card be used for something as obvious as speeding? Probably not. Pulled over for no obvious reason other than being "suspected" of something, then yes.
