Sadly, it's the 1% that ruin it for everyone else. Most people all over the world are peaceful and wonderful people.
But the media only reports the ugly fanatics and that's what we see and judge the rest of the population on.
Thank you for posting this, because it's very important to highlight the positive aspects of a tragedy: The heroes who aren't praised in our media.

(cont.) Because the black community senses this, they feel the need to defend themselves, and thus the cycle is endless.
I must put as a disclaimer: There are exceptions to every rule. It's not this way everywhere in America. There are just as many white people (and other races) that take advantage of the system. That being said, there are also much bigger and just as important problems impacting our society.
I believe everyone should work hard for their success, no matter where you come from. One day I hope to see a colorblind country, where everyone is respected in a way that doesn't abuse the system.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion but here it goes anyways.
MLK tried very desperately to create a country where black people were treat with respect and if they worked hard like their white counterparts, they could just as successful or if not more successful in life.
Sadly, instead of being treated like equals, black people where treated as "special", and given government hand outs and exceptions. Rather than empowering black people, it taught them that they didn't have to work hard to get what they wanted: They just had to hold the past over everyone else's head, and they could get what they wanted.
It's like a rich man's kid: He never had to work hard for money or success, so he doesn't understand the value, so he abuses it.
MLK would be disappointed with black culture today. Everything he worked for has gone terribly wrong. Instead of the white America viewing blacks as our irreplaceable counter parts, they are viewed as a financial and economic plague.

"Our aim must never be to defeat or humiliate the white man, but to win his friendship and understanding. We must come to see that the end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience. And that will be a day not of the white man, not of the black man. That will be the day of man as man" -MLK

Well, there are two ways to the top:
1. Pure, raw, exquisite talent and hard work
or
2. Wide open legs and exceptional beauty
When the talent is missing, one can always assume then latter. Don't think the that ones you SEE that she's been with are the only ones she has been with.
Also, the ones that are most defensive are the most guilty.

This scene made me cry. I was glad to know that one of the most inspirational scientists of my generation was inspired by a scientist of the previous generation.
It gave me faith in humanity that we will slowly overcome our fears of revealed facts, forgo money in the quest for knowledge, that there are people humble enough to accept change when proven logically, and that a passion to understand the world still burns in our souls that not even the depraved school system can extinguish.
