Because parents just want their kids to shut up and for someone else to blame for their poor parenting skills.

The problem with politics 12 comments

Pointing out the obvious, if you are making laws, you need to have a well rounded view. Law degree =/= good politician. The point of politicians is to get a well rounded view, and since they frequently don't get it. Having people of multiple backgrounds in any political area helps keep it rounded, and usually grounded. There are numerous congressional committees that could use someone who is outside of lawyers to give them perspective. ALSO who said you can't take up politics after you are done or something inspires you to run? Example.
Current Illinois 11 Congressional District Rep Bill Foster. Has Bachelors Degree in Physics from University of Wisconsin and a PhD in Physics from Harvard. Spent 22 years at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois. Elected Fellow of the American Physics Society. Received multiple science awards and recognition from the scientific community before running for congress.

Or how about everyone actually tells their friends to be nice to retail workers. And people in restaurants, hotels, and anyone in the hospitality industry. There are a lot of them who are just trying to make ends meet and many of them seem dead because they encoutner stupid stuff all day. If you are nice to them, it just might make their day. Not that I would know.

Can someone please stop leaving Onions lying about. On the point, it still makes me feel good that military animals are given proper services. No matter what species they may be, they are all soldiers.

"Well, a double rainbow is a phenomenon of optics that displays a spectrum of light due to the sun shining on droplets of moisture in the atmosphere. Does that explain it?"

Talk about a troll. Pitbulls are just generalized for the behavior of their "owners". I've met plenty of pits who are nothing more than teddy bears, eager to play, but quick to roll over for a belly rub. My cousin and his wife just had kids earlier this year and they have a pit. Not one thought was ever given to giving him up. He is extremely protective of the kids and lets them crawl and play near him. He's even let them sleep on him more than once. Pits about a 100 years ago were called "America's Nanny Dog" because they were so protective, yet gentle, with children. They are great animals, yet they have that because stupid people breed them, then teach them, to do that. It is the actions OF THE STUPID PEOPLE that have to be stopped. Not the breeds themselves. Many pits are put down every year because they are "adoptable" yet the overwhelming majority of them are sweet dogs looking for a good home. If you raise and train a dog right, NO MATTER THE BREED, they will love you forever

Green. It would be nice to see where humanity goes in 500 years. Also I'd like to be able to visit a plant outside our solar system.

With few exceptions, everything on iPhone came out on most Android phones at least 2-3 years prior. The difference is Apple builds in half the time at a 1/3 of the cost and profits from it because their sheeple will buy into anything they sell and believe anything they say. Ever since Steve Jobs passed, Apple has just been copying the most groundbreaking Android features. No innovation anymore.

This reminds me of my dog, who passed away late last year. For 16 years, she was always there. Even in her last days, she still tried to keep everyone happy. I will always miss her. A pet, no matter what it is, isn't a pet, that's just a fancy name, they are part of your family. They just don't happen to be human, and that's ok.

Its just too bad that many hockey arenas are just too small to hold all of their fans. IIRC the largest is ~35,000. American Football, or handegg, average is 50,000+.

Proof that you should never neglect a member of the family. Whether it be human or an animal. Family is more important and I'm a gamer. My dog often comes into my room when I"m playing and just wants to be near me. She knows however how to get me to stop, and lately, when it is ok to get up and ask to go outside.
Clever girl.
