In intermediate school my principal was kind of a hippy and thought Valentines meant that not everyone got one so it would be like bullying, so we had Peace Day instead. It was really dumb. I don't think she got Valentines as a teen

No, as in Corpse Bride is Victorian era while Frankenweenie and Nightmare Before Christmas are modern times. Great theory though.
