Depends what you're smoking, and how large you are. You can have a curvy/stocky figure and still be perfectly healthy. Besides, it's not like smoking makes people make fun of you. Smokers may have no trouble finding a partner.

Well the parents can only go so far. They may raise their child to be an angel, but they might still get drunk accidentally, or accidentally kill a rapist to escape.

Actually, there are groups thinking about heading to Saudi Arabia and trying to improve conditions there or get women out. That really does need to be changed.
And NO ONE, I mean LITERALLY, 100% NO ONE, tries to protest for smiling at people. Unless, of course, by "smile" you mean "shout inappropriate and obnoxious things at women who don't want it".
