I wish they had expanded a little more on skye (who obviously had a lot of shit going on) and jessica (who had just come to terms with being raped) and how they handled things from that point forward, to show that even when shit happens to you, there is another way out of that mess that isn't suicide, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (they hinted a bit at it with the final clay-skye scene but they could expand it). But hey there are rumors of a second season going around so maybe they will touch on that subject (maybe alongside with a recovering alex that is given a second chance in life, even)

I don't think they were praising her... after all half the characters were still saying what a bitch she was at least once every episode, but what i do think is that the show approached the whole leaving tapes behind thing in a way that felt like they were saying "if this shit happens to you, it's okay to commit suicide" which is an aweful message to give

Nah, i'm 18 and it's still a fight. A good trick is usually making them feel guilty for saying no, for example: my mom is always conplaining bc i don't speak to some old friends anymore so when she doesn't let me hang out with my friends i tell her that by not letting me hang out with them ever she's the one creating the distance that may cause me to not speak to those friends in the future. Or when i tell her that we are going to a bar after having dinner in a house and she says no bc she doesn't want us walking on the street at night, i tell her she's creating incentives for me to lie next time about where we are going to be so she'll say yes. It's petty and it doesn't always work but it is my last desesperate resource
