I just hate the fact that as a white american, we are immediatly held responsible for what our ancestors did and are supposed to feel inferior. (Even if our ancestors were still in ireland until well after the civil war) Egyptians enslaved the hebrews. Africans enslaved other africans. Romans enslaved people of all colors (honestly the Roman city Pompeii would have been the best place to be a slave no matter what color. Until the volcano destroyed them they were doing the whole slavery thing better than anyone.) My point is that no matter what race you are, no one should be punished and the governemt shouldnt be working so hard to make up for the way their ancestors were. Its over, its recorded. All we can do is work to stop it from repeating by treating everyone equally.

It isnt, i did research before posting it. While the woman werent all considered magic, and most of it was seen as bad, and the culture was still male dominated, women had a lot more respect and rights than most other woman in their time
