Exactly my point that the post doesn't use the word almost. And the guest was incorrect because there is no way to tell if the gun almost made it on, we can only say that it didn't.

I'm not either of those things and I know how to use almost but in this instance you could just say the gun didn't make it onboard because of the TSA agent. The whole point of the post was saying that the agent stopped the gun. You could just say the gun didn't make it on because of the TSA agent. There is no way to tell if the gun would've made it on or not. If you look at my original comment I was just saying in this instance that it didn't not that it almost.

No i'm not trying to be witty. I'm just saying you can't almost do something especially if it's something like that. Like you said if the TSA agent wasn't there it would've made it on the plane but since there was one there it didn't make it on the plane. There is no possible way to say that it almost made it. The gun can't almost do anything. Since it didn't make it on the plane it didn't make it, not it almost made it. It either did something or it didn't do something there is no in between. That's like saying I almost got out of bed today. But if I didn't the correct thing to say would just be I didn't get out of bed. There is no almost.
