Vodka - You are doing wonderful work. Never stop!!! :) Redhotchilipeppers - that is exactly how a Pit should have reacted to intruders. A well bred, well socialized Pitty should make a lousy watch dog. I won't bore you with a canine genetics lesson, a speech regarding pack behavior, or breed histories, but this is why I breed German Shepherds for sport homes and service dogs for our veterans. We currently have 9 adults and I would dare anyone to attempt breaking into our home day or night as we always have at least 2 in the house at all times (and 1 - 2 times a year a bedroom full of puppies lol) P.S. I rarely track comments but we donate a puppy to a veteran in need each year and our first litter of 2014 will be here in 5 to 7 days. If you know a deserving veteran suffering from PTSD or other disabilities, you can contact me for their nomination on Face Book under the url BlueSapphireKennels while I rebuild our we site on our new domain (was having surgery and lost domain to reseller)

Arrgh!! Even if you use the camera in your cell phone you should never assume you got it in one shot. (yes, I can see these are multiple photos, none of which capture the true beauty of this extravagant display) My OCD and photography obsession are having a complete melt down inside my head. I'll need hours of editing photos in CS5 to undo the trauma of a blurry photo montage.

Maybe I can thank Fibromyalgia for my general disgust of coffee brewed everywhere except by me at home. Hypersensitivity to strong odors and tastes cause coffee made by any one else to taste like I'm spooning the used grounds right down my throat. :(

Everything labeled simply "Purified drinking water" came out of a tap and was filtered before bottling. Something we do in our home for the price of a mounted tap filter which runs about ten dollars every 200 gallons (estimated lifespan and cost of replacement filters) This does not factor in our $30 to $50 monthly water bill which is noticeably higher during the summer as we have 7 to 9 adult German Shepherds at any given time sharing 4 to 5 kiddie swimming pools and a 5 gallon water bucket per dog in each 20' X 20' covered dog pen. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that we dump and refill water buckets daily and pools weekly thus driving up our monthly bill. And before everyone jumps on the "PETA misguided sympathy train", only one our pens is at full capacity temporarily, housing 3 of our stud dogs until after Emma's litter, due in 7 days, leaves for their new homes at 8 weeks of age.

Ya, but many sub-divisions, apartment complexes, municipalities, etc. in America are the same with no water meters installed. So... the rest of the free world does not have the market cornered on this concept. Sorry to burst your Maple flavored bubble. ;)

Am I the only one here who has begun to find the free for all on insulting Americans more than a bit tedious? It's as if the rest of the collective international users on the internet fail to realize that every country has propaganda distributed to its populus. Including ours and yes, including yours too. I often wonder if other countries use some of our most face palm worthy reality shows to describe the "American way of life". I'm talking about "Here comes Honey boo boo", "Call of the wildman", and the rest of their ilk.

Taking the guests comment into consideration i am going to guess they are about 10 years older than I am, give or take a few years. ie; Put your hands on the lid. The lid. No, the lid. The lid. The lid.

What would you consider "giant", taking into consideration total square footage, family size and median house values for your locality? What is the square footage of your family home, family size, and estimated home value? Also, when was the last time you analyzed your parents most recent tax returns including the 5 years preceding it? Only asking since you opened this can of worms by making statements you should be prepared to defend.

Kortho, as a 46 year old mother of 2 can I just say that perhaps as a child you overestimate your family's wealth? Are these liquid assets, real estate investments, antiques, jewelry, misc. commodities, or all of the above? What amount per year totals basic living expenses, credit card debt, other loans, taxes, etc? Also, since you are a child (at my age everyone under the age of 25 is a child) I'm gonna go out on a limb by suggesting your parents divulge exactly 0% of their annual finances to you. OK all offended kids, tweens, and teens may commence down voting the truth about adults and how much we REALLY tell our kids. (For instance, I will never forget that day 20 odd years ago when I pieced together childhood memories and realized my squeaky clean mothers side of the family obtained much of their wealth through hosting illegal cock fights in seedy areas)

Nothing like forcing your children to choke down the scam that is religion. If allowing them to think for themselves doesn't work, then take every opportunity possible to tell them in no uncertain terms that nothing they want or desire is important. The only thing that matters is strong arming them to believe what you believe and live their lives the way you chose to live yours. </sarcasm>
This rant brought to you by a survivor of Bethesda Southern Baptist Home for Girls (Christ is the answer unless the question is freedom, then the answer is tape alarm on the windows!! We can't have girls escaping when we have all this brainwashing to get done. And fasting (an excuse to starve us and increase profits no doubt). There are currently 4 active survivor support groups that I am aware of scattered across the internet. Just for those who were sent there by parents or by court order (Juvie). Nobody escaped without the gift of PTSD....

Ok, this may be unpopular but I know that I can't be the only one. I grew up back in the 70's. When seat belts were optional. Long before warning labels were plastered on every item we come into contact with. Back when TV sets that outweighed the family car were often perched precariously on a flimsy TV tray while small children played right next to it. I grew up being taught that bumping your head on a daily basis was the best life lesson ever. Instead of handing out Ritalin, they simply said things like, "If you fall out of that tree and break both of your legs, don't come running to me!" My point is, warning labels hinder the natural selection process, and we end up with people who didn't fair well in the brains department. As such, they need to be told in writing not to use that hair dryer while in a tub full of water. An entire country should not do without something because of a few morons. Just saying.

These are not exceptions to the rule. The Pit Bull breed was known as the nanny breed and was used in war. The first dog decorated by the military for it's braveness was a Pit Bull. The term Pit Bull covers a variety of breeds but is most well known for describing the American Pit Bull Terrier. A breed not recognized by the AKC. A well bred pit should be people friendly. They were bred to be dog aggressive and people friendly (dog aggression and human aggression are NOT related!) but breeders that actually care about the breed have been breeding out the dog aggression each generation.

LOL The "Beer" cans in the last photo are the very first generics. The store brand. Stores quickly learned that making the packaging more appealing would help but for a couple of years at least I can recall any item you wanted in yellow generic color with the word describing what the product was on the outside and that was it. Hahahaha! What was that? Late 70's and early 80's???
