Combine the two... perhaps not for everyone, but for those who love their lady's lady-parts every day of the month, you'll probably have a happier wife. ;D She probably won't feel self-conscious about what her body does, if her loving husband is, in a way, a part of it.

Shower... just do it in the shower. Big mess, but easy clean-up. I wouldn't know at all (being a virgin waiting for my bride first), but one can imagine.
