People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

That has nothing to do with this post.
The reason they didn't nuke it is because (1)it didn't follow along with the comics(2) it would destroy part of the world(3)Thanos already had some of the infinity stones which made it so that Thanos can survive something like that.
