The owner left and the website is currently for sale. To drive traffic and clicks, there are bots taking memes from other websites to post here. That's also why you're seeing all the extra ads. Some of the posts are funny but others are memes about Halloween coming when it's December...

If literally everyone is going 80 then I don't think it's safe to go 50. In some situations I personally think it's safer to go with the flow of traffic even if it's over the speed limit. I might be wrong

I know some people that think they're playing police by making people go the speed limit in the left lane. I tell them to let the police do their job, not your responsibility if someone is wanting to go over the speed limit in the fast lane
