Thepotatoshaveeyes, how I understand it is these individuals feel "trapped" in the wrong skin and therefore want to switch genders, though I have not experienced this feeling myself it seems a very real problem for some individuals. That's how I see it, anyways. I'll never know what it's truly like unless I go though it myself, so I'm kinda on the outside looking in. I suppose some do not speak out about it in fear of being ostracized, but some really need to be recognized as the other gender in order to feel comfortable.

Well that actually determines your anatomical sex. Gender is determined by whether the individual identifies as male or female
