I think either would be good, as long as you get sweet blackberries. If they are tart even a little, it won't balance the flavor and the dessert will be overwhelmingly tart and you won't get the full array of flavors

Personally, as a rule, unless kids are involved, I'm more concerned about the animals, because they don't have much recourse. But I also feel it's important to remember we don't know more than a tiny sliver of the story and without knowing the full circumstances it isn't fair to vilify the previous owners. In this case I would say the pup definitely ended up in good hands. Hopefully the previous owners fare as well.

I don't have a husband, my daughter and I live with my mom for a slew of health reasons. She was actually surprisingly agreeable, mainly because we have one cat that is unlikely to be with us much longer and our other cat will need the company, as will my daughter.
