Because we don't want potato peels and food debris chilling in the garbage can if we can help it. Because we're more efficient than you. Because freedom. Take your pick.

It's just a cute story, sero. But you're right, if they were straight, it wouldn't be nearly as popular.

Just for the record, I don't get excited over making others feel stupid for getting excited. I'm the one who feels stupid for getting excited about stuff.

It's less about the magic man in the sky, and more about the lake of fire. And I'm a little disappointed that atheists are so flippant about their parents getting them baptized. I mean, they believe that without baptism you would have burned in hell for eternity, and the cared enough to not let that happen. Maybe say thank you? Something along the lines of, "Hey, even though I don't believe in God, I appreciate that you guys do, so thank you for getting me baptized so I didn't burn in hell for eternity."? I'm always confused when atheists get offended that people proselytize to them. Like, they believe that there is paradise everlasting, and all you need to do to get there is believe that Jesus died for your sins. I'd be more offended if they didn't try to get me in on that.

You expect me to believe that Peruvians invented rocket propulsion? I mean, some Peruvians might have helped, but it wasn't just the Peruvians, was it?

Texas. There aren't any teachers near enough to go to them, so I've been looking for self teaching books.

But he's teaching his son to shoot guns and use a chainsaw too, right? Or is mom in charge of that?

Well they should. Why go to another country and not immerse yourself in the culture? I'm not saying give up mom's meatloaf/kibbeh, but on a fundamental level, you should adopt the culture of your new home. When in Rome, ya know?

While I'm more than willing to admit that there are plenty of Muslims that want to coexist, I'm not sure that it's a majority. I'm worried that the majority of Muslims DON'T want to assimilate. I mean, they self-segregate. Bunching up into their own self styled little ghettos, where there is no chance of assimilation. The ultimate goal of any American should be assimilation, at least when it comes to your values. Otherwise, how can you call yourself an American? Diversity is not our strength, our strength is unity, but we, as Americans, shouldn't have to change our culture and our laws for others, they should be the ones changing, why else would they be here? I'll tell you why. The only other reason would be to destroy and replace our culture, and I don't appreciate that.
