What type of metal do you and your husband listen too? Old metal or new metal? List some bands please so I could help.

The Amity Affliction, Bullet For My Valentine, A Breach of Silence, Slipknot, In This Moment (their heavier stuff is awesome, but I personally don't care too much for their lighter music)

Tool, Megadeath, Soilwork, Black Label Society, Queensryche, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Lamb of God, Slayer, Metallica. That's all I can think of at the moment.

We like Disarmonia mundi, soilwork, as I lay dying, and then there's always babymetal, but we only know a couple bands that falls in that genre.

Amaranths and All that remains would be the only bands that would fit into the category of music ya'll listen too. From what I can see ya'll like to listen to melodic death metal.

Morbid angel, solution 45, scar symmetry, Trivium is good if you like metal that isn't metal too... More bands we like. And I had no idea there were so many different kinds of metal.

Nile is one of the very best death metal bands, mainly because they frequently go concept heavy in to using authentic Egyptological scroll and hieroglyph scriptures, as well as tuning their instruments to Eastern scales and playing in infrequently used modes. Their music is fierce and crushingly heavy, very high speed, but it also has a great deal of breathing room and ambiance, and more than a single "death growl" vocal style--they incorporate a few clean vocals, sometimes tribal/rhytmic chants, and even aggressive oratory style. Very complex and dynamic music. :)
