According to Google, "ROTC is an elective curriculum you take along with your required college classes. It prepares you with the tools, training and experiences that will help you succeed in any competitive environment. Along with great leadership training, ROTC can pay for your college tuition, too." but the first thing that came up was some military thing.

They have ROTC at my school. I don't know much, except the fact that there's a lot of physical activities and that's the main reason I would never join.

It's basically like training for the army while in school. Most people only go into it if they really like it and want to go into the army after high school. It's a lot of physical activity and getting yelled at and stuff, from what I know.

Oy. ROTC is basically, from what I've gleaned, this really difficult training regiment for kids who wanna go into military work. It's like PE, but more intense.

I've been in R.O.T.C and if you have a good program then you'll have to do a lot of heavy physical training, marching, rifle drills, and you'll have to maintain a uniform. From your post I'm going to guess that you don't want to go into the military but it's a good experience and a great way to learn about discipline and socialize with other students. Plus, it will do wonders for your hand eye coordination and endurance.

I'm not sure how early you can enroll I'm ROTC, but I think you are way too young and they need your permission, not your mother's.
