Agree whole heartedly.

That could work.

I actually really like the idea of liking comments. It lets people know if what they're saying is funny or popular with the people on the site. If guests couldn't report people that's fine with me thoug

No offense but this place is Funsubstance - emphasis on "Fun". Like I get having serious opinions and discussion but this site is not the appropriate place to actually express them. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't repress yourself; I'm just saying the whole point of this site is a substance of fun. Though I agree to some extent to your proclamation, I think Funsubstance is alright the way it is - what with a few minor quirks, but other wise, doable.

How about we take away the guest's rights to like, dislike, or comment.
purple_sleevies · 9 years ago
That's a good idea as well.

Because guests are totally irrelevant and so should be voiceless?
purple_sleevies · 9 years ago
No. Because with anonymity, comes people who take advantage of having no consequences for what they say/do. If a guest really wanted to comment something, they would have to make an account and take responsibility for their words or actions.

I like guests more than users because they say whatever the hell they want instead of trying to be all PC. It's more entertaining and if they offend somebody then who cares. It's not like making an account instantly means everybody knows who you are.

Some guests are okay, some aren't. It's just how it goes. There's always gonna be an asshole.

You do realise that having a blue username does not remove that mask of anonymity? You are as much a stranger to me as a 'guest' user. Users who think they're superior to guests purely because they popped in an email and password before typing their comments are a joke.

Until multiple guest show up spouting different opinions at different people.

Guests can't be banned. That's the difference.

I've been unable to comment as a guest when I got banned and I continued my shenanigans as a guest. After that, I was unable to comment for 4 days
