Some of my comments are sort of meant to get thumbed down and I can't see how effective it is if I can't see the negative number and it bugs me. Now all you see is the dumb little red arrow

If someone knows a way to see the number let me know!

From what I've seen from the comments a few months back is to prevent people from bandwagoning the number of dislikes. If people see a big number of likes/dislikes, more people are likely to upvote/downvote the comment.

Meh. Of course you'd ask this. But it does bother me. Even if it was just like posts.

Yeah I really prefer the amount shown. I don't know about that bandwagon effect. I feel like it actually has to get to a certain point that its high enough to make people want to dislike also. But if it gets to that point, the other dislikes wont even matter because obviously it was pretty bad. Ya know?
