Very serious topic... I was watching AHS: Murder House and it made me think of something. Legally, could a convicted rapist whose rape baby causes the mother to die, would that person be charged with manslaughter too?

If the mother willingly (not coerced or forced) carried the baby to term, no because she chose to do it. If he made her keep it (like he kept her hostage or something) I... I'm not sure.

What if she wasn’t in a state of mind to make that decision and had no next of kin to decide that? What if her next of kin decided to keep the baby at risk of her health? Would the rapist be then an accomplice to negligent manslaughter?
