Basically the internet providers feel they should be able to do what they want with the internet, including: censoring things, charging you extra for website bundles ( the cost of your internet PLUS things like an extra $5 or whatever for the ability to access certain sites. They'd have bundles like media for YouTube and spotify and social media for Facebook and Twitter), and they can create fast and slow lanes for certain websites and you have to pay more for a fast lane, and if they want they can block certain sites if they don't like them ( like if you wanted to sign up for another internet provider they could just not allow you to access that providers site or info ). There's more but that's all that comes to mind right now.

And you get people on the other side who think that the government shouldn't regulate the internet ( as they have been doing for the last few years and it's been fine), and how they think it'll create a better internet competition ( even though most people can only get internet from one provider in their area and it'll be hard to change that ) and there's a few others but I forget

Portugal has the bundles, internet providers did censor websites before net neutrality was put in place, and in certain countries without it internet providers have their own shit version of sites so you have to use their version of like fb or YouTube. The fast lanes have definitely been talked about and due to a lot of internet providers also being the people who do cable the bundles wouldn't be a surprise.
And that's why everyone's up in arms about it because the FCC is votinf on it in a few days and if 3 out of 5 vote against it net neutrality will go away, but now there's a thing saying that it seems like it would be unconstitutional to allow it to happen.
So if net neutrality is repealed in the next few days then it probably will.

Also, if the US does let this happen, other countries might follow. PLEASE DO WHATEVER YOU CAN IF YOU LIVE IN AMERICA TO STOP THIS. PROTEST. CALL PEOPLE. EMAIL PEOPLE. TEXT PEOPLE. WRITE PEOPLE. JUST DO WHATEVER YOU CAN. DON'T LET THEM WIN. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THEY TRIED THIS AND IT MAY NOT BE THE LAST.
