My questions for Customer Service

I get it. People can get annoying after working long shifts behind a register while being understaffed. I do.
I know that not everyone likes working customer service like I do.
But why do you act like trash? Why do you only do your job halfway? I'm lazy, but if you're getting paid to do it, do it well because you need this job.
Also, clean up, that's how you get customers.
Thank you for listening.

I work at walmart and I try my best to do what the company expects of me. I do it for self gratification and the hopes they'll give me the good word as references for my new job
I try to eliminate overstocking because, at my store, overnights get lazy and don't want to deal with extra boxes so they cram what they can on the shelf and don't care if they fall.
To answer questions
1. Wal-Mart leaves me in a shit mood, but I try my best to n it reflect that on my customers, but sometimes I get snarky when a customer is being an ass even though I did nothing wrong. Bad on my part, but if I didn't fight back even just a tiny bit then I would cry
2. I never half ass the job. I need references
4. I'm crazy lazy, but I know my limits and weaknesses and work around that accordingly so I get things done as efficiently as I can
Overall, I hate my job and can't wait to quit this summer

Also a lot of the time, people aren't being lazy or half-assing their job but are just limited in what they are allowed to do. Like they can't get cleaning supplies because they aren't allowed to leave their station unattended, thus it looks messy. Or the management doesn't provide thorough enough instructions on certain situations so the employee appears incompetent just because they haven't been trained well.

Not just that. But they are rude to customers and other staff members, and treat the customers like it is their fault that the person works there.
I like working customer service, I like being behind a register or whatever, I can't understand why people get such an attitude over it, so I'm asking. I want to understand why.

At Wal-Mart, people would go ape shit over the smallest things: expired coupon, price differences, getting caught stealing, not having the right stuff for WIC, or not being to price match certain areas
Customers feel entitled, at least at my store, and they expect perfect service
I used to do nothing but self check for a whole year. I was the prime target for angry customers. Not because I did anything, but because I was the first person they saw.
It got so bad I told my store manager to move me to a new department or i would quit.
I hate customers and I learned to single out assholes just by watching their body language.
