Writers block so a I'm basically at a how do I get point a to point b

Where are you and what's your goal

You can start with a very basic outline of what needs to happen to get the story from A to B. The middle bits can be the toughest, so you can be as vague as you need to for now and add details later. So what series of events could take you from A to B? What environmental, interpersonal, and internal factors cause the progression of the plot? So for example, if you wanted to take your main character from being generally content to wanting to end their life (sorry that's dark), what middle events would get them there? Maybe they lost their job and fought with their spouse. Then you figure out why they lost their job - maybe their boss wrongly accused them of stealing? Then they fought with their spouse over money problems as a result of losing their job. That was a simplified example, but it illustrates how you can build off of a basic outline and get yourself unstuck. And remember, sometimes the best/only cure for writer's block is stepping away for a while and not thinking about it.

Write a few scenes in between. That’s what I’ve been doing. Make “checkpoints” for your characters. Who do they need to meet? Where do they need to go? What do they need to do? Fill in the blanks between the checkpoints as gradually as you want.

So I'm at the point where the main character (yamk) is sent into hiding to keep her from see the hard reality of war how do I get from her in hiding to the battlefield when she's currently hiding in the closet because she was dragged to a party by her crush

Bring the battlefield to her?

Yeah, have some major conflict happen outside. Do you want her to participate or is she just a regular girl?

Yes I want her to participate her ex best friend declared war on demons and she happens to be the leader with no experience in any kind of fighting so her guarding sent her to live somewhere else meanwhile everything in going on back at home

How about some demons could smell\sense her presence and attack the party. That will help motivate her to gather up her courage and save everyone

How about she views her party training? She could then gain some experience while learning about the war itself?

Ok so if the war is back at home, does she have any family in danger? Does she have a need to protect others in danger?

She has no family but she has people that are fighting for her she has a car that means everything to her more than people
