Wrestling and such rough play is a human pair bonding behavior. It is playfully aggressive and a form of building acceptance and testing receptiveness for mating. The playful component releases hormones that give positive feelings and aids in emotional bonding while allowing the expression of power dynamics and serving the competitive aspect of the push pull dynamic. In other words- it's a form of flirting.

And bring some Hersheys Kisses with you. Ask him "Ya wanna kiss?" If he says no offer the chocolate. Saves embarrassment.
