Due to several incidents that occurred in my life, I have a few questions.

1. What does happiness mean to you?
2. Is love(in general) a choice or a feeling?
3. Is what you‘re doing now what you always wanted when growing up?(whatever your answer is, does it make you happy?)

1. Happiness, to me, is content with who you are becoming and striving to be, satisfaction with the people around you and the experiances you have and can have.
2. Love, generally is a feeling, but is also a choice.
3. I've always wanted to be unafraid of being myself, no matter what others think, holding that I do not seek to hurt others around me

1.Happiness means others supporting me and me supporting them. Emotionally, physically, or mentally.
2.Love is having passion for something or someone. I love my friends, I love my pets, I love my car, my computer, and my hair.
2.I drive cars, I wanted to work in the IT business but I also get to travel and drive sports cars so it's alright. I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

Life is a jigsaw puzzle, there are many pieces. Some big and small, hobbies, family, work and commitments. But these are all the edge pieces. The main piece is the middle piece. This piece is the happiness piece. It can be anything or anyone. Your mother your art your partner anything. But the important part is you wont know what fits until you fill in the pieces around it. Once you have enough pieces to find your happiness piece that is happiness.
The emotional responce to love is a feeling the brain creates, the commitment to that love is a choice. Not everyone whats a relationship and that is for them to decide.
Growing up, in my opinion has little to do with the future. It can guide you and maybe you can carry an interest into adulthood but that is a choice as well. But what you want to do could change when you are 30 40 or 50. We never stop growing.
Hope you're in a good place bud.

Happiness to me means peace- With my self, my situation, my decisions etc.
Love for me is a unconscious knowing of a lot of feelings wrapped together-but maybe at its basic element, appreciation. I think love begins unexpectedly but over time you have to choose to keep working through the daily trials to keep those feelings intact.
Where my life is today, I could have never dreamed of as a child. In some aspects, it’s more positive than I could have asked for. In other ways there are things that bring me to my knees regularly. Would I say my life makes me happy? I’d say that depends on how well I can step back and measure my perception of each day. Even through the days that feel like hell, if I can stand back and look for the glimmers of love, happiness and peace then I know I will be ok eventually.

@rydler 1. That‘s pretty insightful
2. Please explain :)
3. Did you succeed?
-
@hyperion 1. Could you shed some light on that please?
2. Does that make it a feeling and not a choice?
3. That sounds fun. Will you ever pursue your original dream when you have the chance to?
-
@derpderp 1. Does that mean that happiness us whatever that completes you?
2. That means love is both?
3. I understand.
And thank you. I hope to be soon.
-
@scurvyknave 1. Can happiness still exist even in storms?
2. Ok. Do you think love can be conscious too? I‘ve seen cases where a person decides to love someone who is in a dark place.
3. Understood :)
-

1. Happiness to me lies in a lot of things. Music, movies, my fantasies. A few people. When I am with them, things/people. I feel like I am home. Hence, I would say that for me happiness is feeling like home.
2. I agree with @rydler. Love is a feeling, but also a choice.
3. I wanted to become a geneticist when I was younger. But then I realised I am not cut out for it. I looked into myself and I found a not so shitty filmmaker. So now that's what I am working on. Let's see tho, what happens.

I suppose I'd say its what completes you, but the thing is it could change, you might want something new. I suppose happiness is finding your main piece, and if the pieces change then knowing you'll find it again in time. Basically I just think happiness comes from chilling out. Enjoy what you enjoy and don't stress about what other people are looking for or saying.

Also for the love thing, its up to you. You could have the feeling of love for someone that may be out of reach or emotionally unavailable for one reason or another, and thats not a bad thing, you cant control your feelings. But you can control your devotion to that love, if a person doesnt reciprocate your feelings but you continue pursuing them instead of beginning the healing process that's your choice.

Yeah, you don't choose to love, but you can choose how much to love a person. That kind of thing.
