stab'em. Then you won't have to worry about the interview. OR smackem with a pan. That works too and won't get your shirt bloody

I don't know shite about politics let alone ones from other countries but I'm sure you're doing the right thing idk man. Either way, if you believe in and are passionate about your message then let that drive you, be careful not to let your emotions drown out what you really want to say though. A calm, articulated person is a lot more convincing than a rambling headstrong speaker. I think this whole ordeal sounds pretty exciting, it's getting the publicity you wanted so use it! Take all these opportunities to make a difference, you got this far, you can keep going.

The MP basically blocked a law to help the courts protect girls at risk of FGM.
Thank you @parisqeen I'll be sure to try and keep calm. @bethorien I don't think that'll bode well for me but thanks for the suggestions lol

I've done a few interviews over the years as an LGBTQ-activist so here's my condensed wisdom... 1. If you don't know say "I don't know", they'll want you to speculate but don't bc it looks bad. 2. Stick to the issue. 3. Memorise three points that are central to your message. That's your go-to in any situation, speak them and repeat them. Good luck, it sounds like you have a righteous cause.

@dr_richard_ew he's an MP (Member of Parliament).
@karlboll thank you for your wisdom :)
Thank you for your help everyone. The journalist emailed me back saying they've already done a report on it and the interview isn't happening anymore (my own fault as I emailed him back over a day late, thank you my chappy phone! ). But the email interview may still be happening so fingers crossed.
