Or alternatively,
We bring all the exceptional geniuses in their peak in present and make them all work on different things.
Also, it would give people a chance to see their work flourish.
However it would be hard to deal with all the neurotic, eccentric, unstable geniuses.

What do you guys think?

Do you mean to instead of bringing the technology of the present into the past, instead artificially accelerate the development of technology by transporting the ideas that were used to create that technology?
.
I can see a couple of issues already. First and most obvious - the time continuum will be absolutely destroyed. If you change the past, what happens to the present? Even if this was possible, it would be incredibly dangerous.

Second, it will be very difficult to accomplish. The advancement of technology is always a consequence of social progress, not the cause. If you were by some miracle to introduce the technology of a later stage of civilization into say the Roman empire, it would either be pointless, or would integrate into the existing system in a way that would be meaningless for the civilization as a whole. The greatest catalyst for the development of technology is the Enlightement, for a very simple reason. An individualistic, capitalistic society is the most fertile ground for development of technology, and if you try to advance technological progress before social progress, you may end up with a worse result.

There is a reason everyone is onboard with Kang the Conqueror being the big bad once the FF join the MCU.
So... Yes. Kang. I'm 100% behind it.

In all honesty... Spooky, you aite? I could have sworn we went over all this a year ago.

I've always thought about going to Ancient Greece and explaining vaccines, space and such. I've even practiced what I would say.
Oh well....

Also, @vitklim raises a strong point of social progress. Most of the early inventors invented stuff to satisfy their individual curiosity, it was rarely from a humanity standpoint.

How do we know it hasn’t already happened?
funkmasterrex · 4 years ago
@creativedragonbaby I've done that as well, what's sad is I knew I'd have to speak greek or latin, but I kept practicing in English, lmao.

I can learn Italian and go back to Rome

The Italian would be a lot different back then.
funkmasterrex · 4 years ago
Because it would be latin. >_>

If they have time travel they have a machine to translate for me that runs on solar

@funkmasterrex. Yes, it would be, how could I forget?
Also, I would love to have a translator that has almost every language that exists or existed in its database. It will be fun.

They’re working on a device that translates in real time. Now we’ve improved storage tech, it should hold all languages

Yeah, Google Babel Fish. But I think it uses Google Translate and we all know how accurate that is. Again, I don't know ho it works.
creativedragonbaby · 4 years ago
Yeah but hopefully the devs check it before it goes out

Just want to add I have the google translated app. It’s a TON more reliable than the online version. The online version mostly has randos confirming its grammar. Online google translate is Wikipedia, essentially
