So basically what it says. I got a notification that says “so and so wants to exchange contacts” with the latter being a blue text link. No idea what that is. Never seen it. I don’t generally exchange my information with people met online. There’s no private message I’m aware of on FunSubstance so I’m not sure what would be exchanged, and if there was a PM I’d query the sender directly. I feel rude if I were to ignore it completely- but I don’t really have a way to respond to the sender.

Like from a random person? If it’s not a number you recognize I suggest not to accept because you know, people

Not through phone- through FunSubstance. It’s a notification in my inbox, like where it says “new reply to post blah blah blah.” Except this one says: “<username> wants to <exchange contact> with you. This request will expire in X days.”
It’s a FunSubstance user through the site but I’ve never seen this type of notification before and the user isn’t one I’m familiar with. I know they recently posted a reply to one of mine and I replied as well- but other than that I can’t recall having interacted with them.

It's a thing you can do on FunSub, it's literally just another user wanting to share their contacts with you. If you accept it comes up with whatever they've put in, either their email, phone number, kik. You can then share your own contact's with them if you want, if you don't then the request will expire.

If you don't want to as you seem to not know the users, you're welcome to ignore it or deny the request.

Ah. Thank you. So it just shares contacts you’ve input into FunSubstance? I appreciate the info. I don’t have any sort of Kick or what not with which to exchange regardless so I fear the exchange wouldn’t do much good. I hope the user will understand that I do not wish to “snub” them but that I simply do not have contacts here to exchange- nor would I likely exchange them readily unless I knew a person well first.

If you leave it blank or write "no thanks" you can still see what they sent you I believe.

^ is correct. You can input any message into the "share contacts" bit and it will send even if it's not an actual way to communicate, so it's not what you've actually put into FunSub, just what you decide you want to share. No worries, I'm sure they'll understand @guest_.

After I commented, I got that notification from 3 different users. I'm wondering if it was the trolls. Do you still have the notification? Is the account active?

It still shows up- but if I click the user name I don’t get taken to the user. I can’t say they aren’t active- just because I’m using the app and it is sometimes buggy- so perhaps it’s just a bug. The user who sent me the contact request wasn’t a user I had seen around the site, they replied to a comment I made with something snarky and I had replied back to them with a pointed comment that essentially said they could have their opinion and I could have mine. I haven’t seen them since- but they seemed to be human.
