Early on when I started watching my nephew I went to this grocery store. It was the nicest of these kind of grocery stores I had ever been to and it was in a nice neighborhood. While we were there, it started raining horribly. My nephew and I checked out our stuff and went to leave, but when we got to the exit everyone was just standing there waiting because they didn't want to get wet. So my nephew and I devised a plan. We had enough stuff in our cart he could get in the bottom of it and not get wet. I was dressed pretty nice for some reason (work or court or something) and we blasted outside in the pouring rain and I pushed the cart fast and hopped on the back and we had rain blowing up around us. At the time, we just thought it was fun and didn't think anything of it, but then everyone started following suit and walked out in the rain. This one mother and daughter came over to me and the mother goes that was so cool. You're the coolest dad I've seen. I just sort of politely nodded

The house cat is healed from his attack and while it's been hell combing, cutting, and removing the knots that have turned up in his fur from his time in a cone, it's a relief that his face isn't swollen or dripping pus like it did at the start. It wasn't the first time he was attacked, but those other instances were bloodless, just hissing and spitting at stray cats loitering around. I keep him to schedule where he can only walk around outside at daytime, since his accidents have always happened at night. He's being a little pest about going outside, but he's back to being the smug, attention seeking bastard he is. All returned to well eventually.

@savage_demigod, I'm so sorry I wasn't here to help you through that! Attacks like that are suffocating, if you need to talk to your bf I would call him, I'm sure he'd understand and probably be grateful he knows you can talk to him when you need him. Don't apologise for something you can't control, it's not a fun experience so if you need someone to help you then ask. Try and get some sleep, you got through this one really well so give yourself some credit.

@jmmcclain Thank you. I don't know why people fear getting wet, I love the rain, glad you could show people you can have a fun time even in stormy weather.

Just woke up. That was a tad embarrassing but honestly I'm grateful for you guys. It started getting so bad and I started feeling so insanely hopeless because I thought there was no one I could talk to without being a burden or being too much [ it got so bad that I actually thought I was going to have a heart attack] but then I remembered you guys and although the talking didn't really help me calm down it was still a slight relief to know that I wasn't just going through it alone so thanks you guys. Even if I don't get to talk to someone just knowing that I've got this safe space to come and try and pull myself out of the attack rather than just grinding through it alone is nice
