I would guess the owners deleted political topics before they flooded the site with an absurd amount of ads, especially when you see the page on your mobile. Hate is money.

To be perfectly honest: this is merely based on some deductive process. I have adblockers on both my mobile and my desktop. On my mobile I see the occasional ad which I believe is because usually the tracker & ad-game is way more aggressive on mobiles (more money per click) than on desktops, so there's stronger effortds to get past that blocker.

But still on my desktop, I can see the number of blocked ads and trackers and it's in the area of 50 and more within the first seconds. If I like a site and there's not an overkill of trackers, I disable the adblocker. But 50plus right from the start? Nah, don't think so. You're greedy, you get nothing from me.

That's the thing, I don't use adblockers, and I am on mobile.

It's impossible to avoid political posts when some people are just hair triggering on anything remotely political. I tried not to make any posts that might trigger certain people for a while but just ended up not posting anything at all. I mean really .. If I joke about bad health care I'm a communist, if I joke about anti-vaxxers I'm a delusional tool of the illuminati or some shit. I went four years without posting anything about a certain orange fuckhead. The problem here is the same as on the rest of the internet; God damn American conservatives general hair triggered snowflakeness. I've spent two weeks posting almost exclusively funny positive memes and don't you think some people are just triggering on that to? Of course they are. I've basically had it with caring about that now and if trump or anyone does anything stupid (shouldn't be long) I might just post about it. FFS these people banned the muppets from their conferences, how deluded is that.

@karlboll Well said. Let's not forget that those hair-trigger people will also mock Twitter users for doing the exact same thing they do but fail to see any similarities between themselves and the people they ridicule.
