I say let that person go cause if they can't accept your views and deal with it for the sake of your friendship then they really aren't worth the trouble. If she really were your friend she wouldn't get mad over something so trivial.

She was probably trying to change you. But hey keep your head up cause you stuck to what you believe in and sometimes it's hard cause we want to please people, but honestly it's a two sided road and she should have don't the same. So don't beat your self up over it if you didn't feel comfortable with her you did the right thing.
