So what exactly is the surgery for?

I'm getting a fatty tumor on my back removed. Its just a bit bigger than golf ball size. And its right near nerves and blood vessels and its pressing on them causing pain. And before anyone freaks out over the word tumor. Thats just what its called. Its completely benign. Its just something that some people get and they can happen anywhere on tje body. Their actually called like lypomas or something. They can usually be removed in an office visit but because if the size and location of mine i need to be in an actual operating room. Plus they want to test it just to completely make sure its benign.

Oh I feel you dude. Lipomas themselves are fine but it sounds like the specifics of yours make it kinda complicated. Well good luck man, I hope you have a speedy recovery. And you should post a pre-op selfie haha.

Lol. I didn't think of that i think i have to now. Its a quick surgery and I'll be home the same day so thats good. Yeah. They want me in an operating room because if the nerves and blood vessels and they want the more precise equipment and also the equipment in case something happens. But the surgeon whos operating is supposed to be very good so i have every faith in her medical ability.

Yeah that's good. Where exactly is the tumor located?

Its like right where my lower back and hip meet. She said it was near a joint. But seeing as how i never took an anatomy class i dont know any joint there. I just know its on my lower back right around where my hip and back meet on my left side.

Hmm that's interesting. I can't visualize it right now but either way, I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.

Yeah. Then the next day its thanksgiving with my family. Yay. Lol. But friday look forward to preop selfie.
