I know this site is for fun but I just needed to get something off my chest to a bunch of strangers who don't have a stake in my life. I am so depressed and so alone even though I am surrounded by people, family, great friends and a great job. I feel like my love life is the reason and I wish I could find someone who wanted me as much as I wanted them. I have gotten so down because of this feeling and I just can't shake it. I don't know if there is anyone else out there who feels this way but I had to get how I am feeling out.

I'm going through the same thing. Except it's not me... it's my twin sister
She's depressed and sad and she has loving family and friends all around her but she's still depressed. Now my father wants to put her in a mental house and I don't want that. Now my family is in ruins.. I need help.

I've been where you are and I still am sometimes so I know how you must feel, I know you might feel like your problems aren't worth being depressed over and I know how much it sucks when you're telling yourself that you're being stupid and that you have no reason to be sad, it all just becomes a sick cycle of depression and self hatred.
You have to remember though that pain is relative and that thinking you can't be depressed about your life when you have so many good things is like saying that you can't have asthma because there's so much air around.
