Yes, obviously yes. But not in the way people think. Girls will often manipulate guys into thinking they have a chance so that the girl can just continue to use the guy for various things. It's awful and happens a lot..

So really friendzone should be called manipulative zone. And if the girl truly just wants him as a friend and he does stuff to try to get with her it should be called expectancy zone.
